Since taking on the The Traddock Hotel Yorkshire in 2002 we have always had a passion for sustainability and work hard at being an eco-friendly hotel. We have an eco-friendly policy within the hotel focusing on reducing our carbon footprint and impact on the environment. As we are in such a beautiful location in the Yorkshire Dales we strive to protect our environment for future generations.

In 2011 we joined the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) and were awarded a Silver award for our efforts. In early 2014 we were delighted to achieve a Gold Award for our continuing efforts and investment in sustainable technology. We realise that as a business it is our responsibility to minimise our environmental impact, we are committed to further improving our efforts and will continue to invest in sustainable technology. The majority of projects and programs we have introduced have realised significant benefits to ourselves in either cost reduction or supported the wider community economy around us.
