Please note: all COVID-19policies are based on current UK government guidelines and are being constantlyreviewed based on the latest advice. With that in mind, some of the informationyou receive at the time of booking may be out of date by the time you stay atthe hotel. We intend to keep this page up to date with all new developments asand when they are announced.

We are now taking bookings for our intended re-openingdate: July 10th 2020.
Bookings are currently on a 2 night minimum stay basis but we will honour any 1night stays that have already been booked prior to the Coronavirus shutdown inMarch.

We have changed our check-in time to 4pm, giving ustime to complete the extra cleaning that will be required to run the hotelcorrectly.  We will still welcome you earlier but please be aware thatyour room may not be ready.

Fuller details of how your stay may change will beadded on this page in due course.  (After the Government regulations havebeen published and digested).

We at Cedar Manor have always put the safety of ourguests, staff and suppliers first.  Working together as a team, we willstrive at all times to take all appropriate COVID-19 measures to reduce therisks for our staff, guests and visitors throughout our hotel.

To do this, a Risk Assessment has been completed that both identifies thepossible risks and the controls needed to reduce those risks. The result ofthis Risk Assessment is that we have invested in various types of equipment andimplemented a number of procedures throughout our hotel to reduce the risk ofinfection and demonstrate to our guests that we offer a safe and secureenvironment.

Above all, we want to ensure that our guests, staffand any contractors invited to our hotel are all kept safe and well.

Staff Training
All our staff have taken an approved online Coronavirus Aware course by our trainingprovider “Direction Associates”. Our staff have also revised their Food Hygienecertificates and will be following detailed training plans on all protocolsdeveloped to run the hotel safely.

Hotel Cleanliness
We have put in place a professional sanitising company that will sterilise ourhotel, including all guest rooms, public areas, kitchens and even the gardenfurniture, assisting us to maintain a COVID-19 safe status.  They will beusing a non-toxic process that helps us maintain our ‘Green’ environmentalcredentials.

Scatter cushions, bedspreads and facecloths havebeen removed from all guests rooms for the time being.

The hotel will be cleaned and sanitised on aregular basis, throughout the day in public areas and high “touchpoints” suchas doors and bannisters.  Staff will be trained on the importance ofsterilising these areas and will ensure that we maintain a clean and safeenvironment.

Public Toilets
We would ask that residents use their own bathrooms wherever possible. Thankyou.

Booking
We will be operating a fully flexible cancellation/postponement policy. If your stay has to be cancelled due to changes in Government legislation dueto Coronavirus we will move your reservation to a date in the future. Ideally 2021 or the first half of 2022.

For the remainder of 2020 we have set our booking system to take reservations on a minimum of 2 nights.  However, if you have a 1 nightstay already booked we will honour it.  For new bookings our minimum staywill now be 2 nights.

Visiting
We have carried out risk assessments throughout the hotel in all areas of ouroperation and will be modifying how we welcome you , how we serve breakfast andhow we service your rooms during your visit.

Parking
We are asking you to park in marked bays considerately as there are only enoughbays for 10 cars and given we have 10 guest rooms.  If you require luggageassistance please park at the main front door first and remain in your carwhilst the bags are removed and taken to your room.

Check-In
Will be from 4pm, allowing housekeepers extra time to complete theirduties

Reception
Before entering the hotel you will find a sanitising station, this must be usedprior to being checked in.
If you or anyone in your party are displaying symptoms of COVID-19 please donot enter.  Telephone for further instructions and remain in your car oroutside.
We reserve the right to check your temperature prior to you being checked in.
You will be shown to your room and the sterilised keys will be in the roomwaiting for you.  Please only hand them back to us when you check-out.
Further sanitising stations will be positioned throughout the hotel and you areencouraged to use them where possible.  All guests must use sanitiserprior to entering the lounge and dining room.

Corridors
The hotel corridors aren’t 2m wide so we ask all guests to be courteous andcheck if anyone is in the corridor before coming fully out of your room.

2 meters is best but 1 meter isacceptable

Breakfast
We will have 2 servings at breakfast: 8.30 – 9.15 and 9.30 – 10.15am.  Youwill be asked to book and pre-order. The breakfast buffet has been removed andeverything will be served from the kitchen.

An assigned table will be ready for you when youcome down for breakfast.  We would ask you not to come to the dining roomuntil your allotted time slot.  (Please try not to be early or late) We will greet you at the door to the dining room and show you to your table.
4 guest rooms will be booked for the 8.30 serving and 4 rooms for 9.30 am
Coach House guests will have breakfast served privately in their suite.

Housekeeping and Laundry
We will carry out housekeeping by request for guests who arenot departing. This can only be done whilst you are enjoying breakfast as thestaff will have to move on to “departing” guest rooms after breakfast and willnot be able to enter “staying guests” rooms after they have started to work on thedepartures.
You will be asked to display a “room free for servicing” or “do not disturb”sign when you come from breakfast.  We understand that since COVID-19 manyguests may not want or require their rooms to be serviced during their stay.
All linen is washed off-site at 60 degrees for optimal disinfection, andreturned in sealed bags for use in the hotel.

Tea and Coffee Making
All in-room facilities will be cleaned and sterilised prior to check-in. Fresh milk and bottled water will be in your mini-fridge.  We will ask youwhat tea and coffee supplies you would like and bring them to your room shortlyafter check-in.

Lounge and Bar
We have 2 settee areas in the main lounge which can accommodate up to 4 guestsin each area.  Please remain seated and we will come and take orders andbring them to you. 
(there is a bell in reception and on the bar to gain our attention)

Outside
We have 4 tables on the terrace, all are separated to 2m.
We will come to the tables to take any drinks orders you may have. Please waitat the tables for them to be served. (wines, bar, tea & coffee)

Afternoon Tea
Our afternoon tea is served Wednesday to Sunday inclusive.  This must bebooked in advance.  We can only accept up to 12 covers and these will beseated in our lounges and dining room.

Supper Menu
Will be served from 6-8pm and can be served either in your room or in thelounge.  There is no extra charge for service to your room. Pre-orders areessential for hot meals as we will only prepare what has been ordered.

Departure
Please vacate rooms by 11.00am.  If luggage assistance is required pleaseput your cases in the corridor and ring down.  You are welcome to bringyour car to the front door and we will load your bags for you.

Payment
Your final bill can be emailed to you and we are accepting payment by CreditCard at check-out.  We are not able to accept cash at this time.  Ifyou wish to pay by BACS, please advise us during your stay and complete thepayment prior to departure.

PPE
Our staff will be fully trained on the use of PPE and you may see us wearinggloves, aprons and masks.
Our service staff will wear a face mask whilst checking you in and during foodservice.  There are strict guidelines for staff hand-washing during foodservice rather than wearing gloves.
You may wish to bring your own PPE and use it whilst in the public areas andwhilst you are out and about.

Temperature Checks – we are checking staff’s temperatures at thebeginning of every shift to ensure they are safe for work.  We reserve theright to check guest’s temperatures prior to check-in, subject of course to anyGovernment guidelines or protocols.

Food Safety
We are familiar with all kitchen deep cleaning protocols along with anyadjustments required to be COVID-19 safe. 
We currently hold an official 5-star certification for hygiene in the kitchen

The Lakes
Many restaurants, cafes and attractions will be re-opening. Please be patientas we all “find our feet” during this phase. Also, please remember to give somespace for passing other walkers/hikers on the footpaths in and around theNational Park.
